Buying a new minibus is a significant decision, and no two operators need exactly the same vehicle. At Minibus Options we don't sell what's simply available 'off the shelf' — every minibus we build is configured around the passengers who will actually use it, from seating layout and wheelchair access through to stowage and finish.

As one of the UK's leading minibus manufacturers, we've supplied over 5,000 vehicles to schools, community transport operators, care providers, NHS trusts and commercial passenger operators over our 40 years in business. In our 30th year, we were selected by the Department for Transport as a key supplier for the Community Minibus Fund, delivering over 200 vehicles as part of that programme.

Every minibus we build meets full Type Approval standards, giving you complete confidence that the finished vehicle meets current safety and construction regulations. We are an approved converter for Renault, Renault Trucks, Ford, Volkswagen, MAN Truck & Bus and Stellantis, and maintain professional working relationships with Mercedes, Nissan and Iveco — so whichever base vehicle suits your budget and duty cycle, we can very likely build on it.

Our size range runs from compact short-wheelbase, low-roof models (L1H1) through to extra-long, extra high vehicles (L4H3), with seating capacities to suit anything from a small day centre run to a full size local authority or community fleet. Many configurations can also be specified with wheelchair access — via ramp, internal tail lift or underfloor cassette lift — for up to six wheelchair users depending on layout and base vehicle size.

We work through the specification process with you step by step, so the quote you receive is firm and complete, with no hidden extras to catch you out later. Because vehicles are built to order, lead times do need to be planned for — typically 3 to 6 months for the base vehicle to arrive, followed by 2 to 4 months for conversion, certification and registration. Where a stock chassis or part-built vehicle is available, this can sometimes be shortened.
